OHHS CHEER WINTER SEASON
TRY-OUTS

Try-outs for the nationally recognized Wildcat Cheerleading Squad for the 2008/2009 Winter Season will be in Nov. 3 to 5, at OHHS gym.
3 to 5:30 pm
Open to current 9th through 12th graders. No experience necessary just an eagerness to learn.
Please complete the required paperwork from the athletic office before tryouts .
Coaches pick their team same as other sports at Oak Harbor High School. All candidates must abide by coaches' decision.

SEASON REQUIREMENTS
- All candidates must complete all necessary paperwork before try-outs. See above.
- All cheerleaders have to abide by the athletic code.
- Cheerleaders need to be passing in all classes at time of tryouts.
- Cheerleader must be passing all classes.
- Attendance at all practices mandatory.
- Must maintain a positive and cooperative attitude at all times.
- Cheer at home basketball and wrestling games.
- Competitions - Saturdays
- All cheerleaders are required to participate in fundraisers, assemblies and community events required by the coach.
- All cheerleaders are required to have a current physical (within the past 2 years).
- Cheerleaders must pass safety, chant, stunt progression tests before they are eligible to cheer.
- You cannot participate on other sports during this season.
- Work schedule cannot interfere with practice or cheer commitments.
- Uniforms will be supplied but must be returned at end of season, clean and in good condition

EXPENSES
- Briefs (girls) $15
- White socks $5
- Shoes $60
- Activity fee $75 for 1st season, 2nd season $50
- ASB card $35
- Warm-ups $100
